Looking for a way to shutdown my bots at a given time, exit the game, clear out the memory and restart them. I could force the pc to close the app, but I'm afraid of something getting corrupted.

Pre-TOD I had a "crash recovery" app that I resurrected from someone at the original Tradebot site (AC Mule Trader? What was it called again?)... it basically looked for a crash and restarted everything automatically. Adding a schedule probably wouldn't be a big deal, but it hasn't worked since.

I probably still have the source code if anyone is interested in it... I'd have to really look though, it's been awhile since I did that...

if you have the source, I wouldn't mind.. I always like playing around with stuff. Of course, if someone that actually knows what they're doing wants to do look it over, that's cool too.

Well it is old but i think it will work. I think only the number of slots for toons

is only change i've made.

I used it for my bot.

Seems like the problem with that script, was it didn't re-start the bot on login, and the worst problem was it spammed the auth servers horribly until success. Probably not a good thing.

For me login works fine. I have been running a bot IG using ACQLaunch since TOD came out. So for several years now I have stopped ACQLaunch on patch days. Once Patch and Decal is updated all I do is start ACQLaunch then enable crash recovery then push big blue button. Sometime later Bot is in game. If a crash occurs it recovers and Bot is again back in game. On days when they take Auth Servers off line then bot is back IG once Auth Servers are up. On days when my ISP goes dead and then comes back up...again Bot is back IG. So with out knowing the specifics I have no idea why you had this issue.

(I assume it is not an issue with the plugin auto starting.)

I would say it is aggressive about trying to use auth servers. It is not an issue when auth servers are working. If auth servers are off line then I'm killing some electrons needlessly. If auth servers are semi-functional then Turbine needs to fix it. There was a period of time when we where forced to keep trying until auth servers would

let you in. If you're IG and get booted you are invariably in a major rush to get back IG. This is when being aggressive paid off for me and others.

Course subject was about something that will shut down and restart AC. ACQLaunch only handles the crashes.

does it also work when the client reports that it cannot allocate memory?

No.

ACQLaunch handles the crashes only.

It does not handle running the o/s out of memory.

That issue I recall I handled by my bot code.

It sees memory is getting tight and logs out and back in automatically.

This is more gracefull as it waits until its not busy before it does this.
