an you have 1 account signed in on two different servers? From only one computer?

Just seeing if this might be a better way to do x-server trades.

I've never used dual log, so don't know if it'll be helpful.

FWIW: i have a dual core machine. i thought i'd heard you can run AC client on each core, but don't know if this works with only one account across 2+ servers.

Last I checked you COULD log in to 2 servers with 1 account.. however I've heard talks that it does not work anymore.

You can, however, Turbine considers this an 'exploit' now. Any mention of the possibility is quickly erased from their boards.

Of course, this capability is not really related to ACDC except that ACDC lets you do it with one PC instead of two.

Originally it was possible to log the same account on to two different worlds. this was never intended and Turbine put in code to prevent this a few years ago. But the code is buggy in that on rare random occasions it is still possible to log one account onto two worlds. As stated above, it is now considered an exploit. So, although it is possible, it is not something you would want to do without risk being banned.

you just have to wait sometime and have the first account full logged in , so you have to have a char in the world.

The code is not just 'buggy', it barely works at all. I did it a lot with no issues and didn't even realize they had put something in to prevent it until I saw something about it on the boards...

i've tried a lot, but AC seems to crash out each time.

to do this on one machine, i needed ACDC to log in one of the accounts. otherwise, windows says you can't run two instances of acclient.exe on the same machine (already running!)

i guess there just isn't a good way to do cross server trades except to do a little trust and get rep checks.

Log into one server on the account using ACDC first, play around on it for 10 - 15 minutes, before logging it in to another server, works fine every time.
