My stupid question of the day - Decal files

I just installed Decal, and when I did, it put 6 files on my desktop (decalplugins, killbit, clientpatch, memlocs, messages, updatelist).
Is the desktop the correct location for these files or should I copy them to the Decal directory?

You did something wrong... uninstall and resinstall with defaults is my best guess

Well, I didn't change anything about the install, I used the 'typical' install option. I just uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times and it worked as it should on the 4th try. *shrug*
