It keeps saying " <{ GoArrow }> Failed to open downloaded locations file; make sure you have the right database URL and type selected (XmlException: '--' is an unexpected token. The expected token is '>'. Line 31, position 3.)"
I uninstalled and reinstalled, but still get it.
Any help is appreciated.

It may be telling you the truth. Reread the error message you posted.
It's telling you that you CANNOT REACH the computer with the updates. This can be cause by a number of things including your computer connecting to it (unlikely), internet latencies and traffic, or the fact the the computer on the other end is either experiancing connection problems OR does not exsist anymore.
With all that said, I can help you by confirming I have the same problem here .. pointing the problem toward the latter .. the GoArrow computer is not avalable presently. Give it a couple of days. Digero's website is still up, so most likely when he has time, he'll look into it.

It's telling you that the locations file it downloaded is corrupt. Make sure that the database type you selected is "Crossroads of Dereth" and the URL is http://ac.warcry.com/atlas/atlas_xml.php . If that doesn't work, open the GoArrow folder and delete the downloaded_locations.xml file, then try updating again.
If you're still having trouble, email me the downloaded_locations.xml file from the GoArrow folder. My email address is my forum name @gmail.com.
I don't have an AC subscription to test to see if I can reproduce the problem myself. GoArrow gets the locations database from Crossroads of Dereth, and I don't have control if there are any problems with the database. That said, I just downloaded the XML file from the URL above, and I don't see a syntax error on line 31.

Same here. Just got home and log on .. and everything ran find.
I sent a email to Digero with what I knew early this morning. I needed to confirm that we have selected "Crossroads of Dereth", but it looks like that's not the issue here.

Yeah and so is Maggie's site.  Is there some sort of consperacy(sp?) ??
AC is dead...... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Also yes I am and have been able to D/L from the Go Arrow. Have not had a problem, yet....

Acmaps.com and thejackcat.com have the same hosting, so anytime one is down the other is also down.
