I am a returning player and I've always had a nice little obsession with stats and data sets, so when i came back and saw that Faile's BanditSight/2 had fallen by the wayside a few years back I was a bit upset to say the least.


Keeping all that loot profile data was a dream come true for anyone hunting up specific salvages weild reqs, armors, or majors.


with all that said I was hoping someone out there has the old code and would be willing to pass it off for some open source community development to get it relaunched. Just a hope.


the othe roption is of course that it be rebuilt from the ground up, but I have no experience in programing for Decal and a first project of this magnitude would probably ensure that I never try again. Anyone have any suggestions?

look into: Findit!, Alinco, and both Life- & Virindi- Tank do some of what BS/2 use to do.


for some of the functions they don't i beleive, there are a few other plugins that keep statistics.

The statistics/loot profiles is really what I'm interested in what plugins currently track this sort of data?


I have Alinco and it's alright though the default profile leaves much to be desired and requires a lot of tinkering with.

OMG.. you mean you actually have to do work to get the results you want? For shame!

You do know that could be said about decal in general?

I would be willing to write the plugin myself and use it as a strictly personal relatively useless plugin, but i am unfamiliar with decal plugin programing if someone could even point me in the right direction for, learning the bindings the filters etc. perhaps some code from a current looting plugin which already scans the loot and identifies the kills could be adapted for my purposes. I love the occasional cynical and snide comments but really i'm just looking for a little direction...

Well, as for the old code, why don't you just drop Faile a PM and see if he will give it to you??
