My computer is not even a week old. For some reason, my FPS is around 3-10 with decal running. My computer can obviously support this game so i dont know what the problem is. Without decal, i get about 400 fps. I run dual 8600's 512mb each. Im also on vista 32x home basic.

Disable quack, try again.


See if it is decal or a plugin that is destroying your performance. My money is on LT.

I am having the same problems. If I run decal on my laptop, I get terrible framerates, and if ANY plugin is actually on my screen (not just minimized to the bar) - it's unplayable.


I thought it was a heat issue, but if I disable decal immediately, it works fine. It does *not* matter what decal plugins are running.


I can't post an export right now, I will tomorrow evening.

Vista Home Premium 32-bit

GeForce 8400M GS


This system should chew up AC/Decal. My desktop is far worse and runs it like a champ.


Is there a problem with decal and Vista? Or processor affinity in dual cores?

While not an expert, I am running Vista 64x, with a Dual Core processor and have had no problems on my desktop machine.
