Okies, nvidia bug we found a "kinda" solution...

1 itty bitty problem... Its sucking with the Decal, in that Decal and the Fix can not coexist.


So if you would be so kind, we need a bit of your expertise in making it play well with Decal.

Nope don't need to read it all just the last 2 pages cover the problem, something to do with the fix injecting a dll and decal injecting a dll and well it don't work.... Fyrie can explain it WAY better than I can.


I'm just the cute PR guy trying to recruit more help, we've gone thru over a year of ideas and testing to get here... can you stop by and give us that last little bit to get a "fix" in place?

Shouldn't be too hard to write a plugin that can set the software tnl bit.

Quick update:


Looks feasible; I'll need to write a plugin that hooks decal's hook on the dx create stuff (not going to be fun) because this can only be setup correctly when the device is created.

Nope. No good. It can't be a plugin due to the way alpha 8 initializes. Doing it another way would be too much of a pain. The *next* version of Decal would allow it to work, but I have no way of knowing when that'll be ready for consumption...

paradoxlost - well thank you for trying... Was hopefully we could put a fix in to tide Decal users over until Turbine does something....


If you would keep us on the penciled in list of the new Decal it would be much appreciated.
