Ran the install multiple times, never did get a default recipes.xml file like it says. Anyone know of one? I don't even know the format to try and spend hours putting one together.

I'm really just after tinkering stuff for Craftbot, my tinkerer doesn't even have cooking, alchemy or fletching. I don't think MakeIt! xml format is compatible with Craftbot either? thanks for the try though, saw you were after alchy stuff on the Craftbot forums, hope you had luck with that.

oops.. yeah.. just saw that it was for craftbot, and not makeit. I don't have an updated one, though I would like one for the foolproof salvage and all that.

I did some beta work on Craftbot, but haven't played with it much since then.
There should have been a default xml packaged with it that handled most stuff.
the web address for the development site escapes me atm... Paraduck wrote it but I thought someone else picked up development but I am not 100% sure of that.

MakeIt! and Craftbot use 2 different xmls, I had hoped at some point to have someone write a converter to share the info back and forth but people brought up issues about who owns what in each recipe file.

Yew Wan Sum maintains it now.

Assuming you installed the most recent version, the recipies.xml should be located at:

Windows XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\My Documents\Paraduck\CraftBot

Windows Vista:

C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Paraduck\CraftBot

I did install the latest version posted to craftbot.acvault.ign.com, it did create the other .xml files in that location, as described in the help file, just no recipes.xml.

Yew's link just redirects back to this same location, doesn't look like he's done anything.

Feeling stupid now for uninstalling last year's install without saving a copy of the files first :/

Thanks though paraduck, was a cool plugin when i used it last year.

I figured it out, playing around with uninstalling/reinstalling, renaming files & creating fake .xml files.

I had MakeIt! installed, which also has a recipes.xml file in \mydocuments\make it!\recipes.xml, this was preventing Craftbot from creating one. As soon as I renamed the MakeIt! recipes.xml file to arecipes.xml, and run the craftbot install, it did create a recipes.xml file in \mydocuments\paraduck\craftbot\
