Once in a while a player can be standing in front of my buffbot but will not respond to the player. They have to relog in order for the bot to see them and respond. Does anyone else have this problem?


This is a standalone computer not using dual client or any other decal plugin.

I've noticed that my bot has done that, but every time that I've noticed it, it was right after someone had joined the allegiance.

I have seen buff bots doing both of these things, but this is a little different. The player can send multiple tells to the bot and it will not respond ever and I do not have the bot limited to allegiance members.

Is your buff bot close to the mansion building?

No the bot is in MP in a side room.

Never seen that happen outside, but I get it all the time from tradebots in MP. If I relog, all is good again. Although not your specific problem, I saw it mentioned and can confirm, Rhesus Incantare is a buff bot in Sanamar on FF and quite often I have to /t him twice before he responds, then he responds consistently. But the thing in the MP is kinda strange... I never put the two together and thought it was an issue with Mule TradeIt! The problem might be with MP's proximity to something in-game.


The other weird thing is, not all the bots seem affected. I can shop on some, then walk up to one and be completely ignored. If I do a 'show' command, items will be displayed. 'check' commands, 'add' commands or any other commands are ignored. Log out and back in, all is working again, but some other bot who you just did business with 10 mins before might start ignoring you. It's rather random...

My bots sit in the open, in Holtburg.

maybe i'll try moving him somewhere else other than MP and see if the same thing happens.
