Haven't played AC in like 8 months now. I have a brand new machine with Windows 7 Ultimate. I turned off UAC, created a folder under the C: drive called Games. I installed AC, and decal and all the plugins, including LifetankX 11.9.8 (which was the last one I had). I ran AC without decal to update, it ran fine and logged into the game the first time, no issue. Then I loaded decal and updated the files. Logged in and decal ran just perfectly, just like when I was on XP. Then I found out that there was a newer version of lifetankX (11.9.9) I downloaded it and installed it so it would cast all my level 8's automagically for me. AC will not start with this version of LifetankX. it sits at the logging in my character screen until the link turns red. Is there something I have to do to get AC to log in using this version? Or should I just be lucky Windows 7 worked with everything I had, which was all the plugins I used to use, and LifetankX 11.9.8 instead of the new release...
