I can't seem to get search to work on the forums so sorry if this has been addressed before. XP sp3

Having an issue getting .net 1.1 installed. When I do it gives me an error
"An error occurred while Windows Installer was initializing. Setup will now close"

Not very informative. I currently have
2.0
3.0
and
3.5 SP1 installed

not sure why I can't get this one to install. I tried to start uninstalling from 2.0 but says I can't uninstall as programs use it.

any ideas? thanks dual client needs it :-)

Glad i posted... not 5 min later i found a .net cleanup utility. Told it to clean up 1.1 and rebooted and now installing fine. .net cleanup tool
