directories contain the current version, or get the latest version from turbine. Client version = 0.0.1.1.3970 xml version = 0.0.1.1.3975


I already have the updated version of the client... I don't understand why it's still saying that. I even have checked the client. I don't use dual log. Any ideas?

running an OS like vista/win7 and installed decal to a protected directory where NOW the files can not be written to save the update so each time you dl them they get ignored.

I'm running windows 7 and I have decal in the program files folder as well as AC (not program files X86). It was working fine before the patch.

When i click on run as administrator it says show where your asheron's call directory is installed. Which is in the program files (no x86). After i do this it says my asheron's call client is not up to date. If i go in and manual view the client in the directory it says it is up to date. I don't understand..

just for s&g, copy the three latest files to a separate directory, uninstall AC, and reinstall to someplace like c:\games, then copy those files back (to save time from updating from the beginning). This is the standard response that we give to everyone who is running Windows 7, and it works about 99.99999999999999999992% of the time.

Here's a suggestion that has not been used in a number of years. Back in 2006 we had a lot of the same problem. The XML updates would not update correctly via the Decal window from the Task Bar. This happen with both starting Decal or using the Update button.


At that point we all started sending copies to each other to fix it .. (not recommended).


The Decal Devs put together a stand alone utility which is installed with Decal today.


Look in the "Decal 3.0" folder and run the DecalUtil.exe to see if it updates the XML files. Just click on the "Auto-Update (XML etc)" button.
