I haven't had an active account in over a year and very little time to make needed changes and fixes. Due to some life changes coming up I'll have any less time. So looking for someone to take over the code base (Visual Basic 6).
I'm looking for someone experienced with writing Decal plugins. Main issue right now is there something wrong with either the installer package or the DLL (guessing the DLL) where it doesn't register. I have a good copy of the DLL that does work.
If you are interested, post here. PM's to take it over will be ignored.

I can take a look at it.
I've been planning to write my own buffbot based on the vtank logic at some point but I haven't gotten around to it yet, so it's important that castaway keep working for the time being.
Is there a reason you don't want to make it open source?

You know, there really isn't anymore. The original developer (Once Bitten) had it closed source and asked us to do so once a group of us took it over. The majority of the code was re-vamped during that time so not a lot of the original code base left and the code that was use to buff armor while being worn no longer works and was removed.
So I just may go ahead and do that unless someone can think of a reason not to do so.

Perhaps it should be looked over to make sure all of that is gone first, just in case.
Anyway, I'd be happy to take over hosting it and seeing what can be done about fixes, and put the source on my repo once it has been looked at.

I hope you find someone to take over.
I have a quick fix that worked for me when I installed the program. Nothing I did would allow decal to recognize Castaway. So I brought up decal, went to add, it wasn't there. I clicked on browse, found where I installed it and clicked on the castaway.dll file. It added it to Decal as Castaway.dll (other than just castaway), but it works on decal after.
