So today I get a dialogue to install Virindi Sense. I checked the Vtank page and could find any mention of this new plugin, is this legit?

I'm guessing VI just hasn't had a chance to write something up about it. I tried it out. It's basically a mob/object finding plugin, similar to that capability in Find It! or Alinco. It's really neat, actually, though it doesn't have any "exact match" feature, which makes finding some things (black coral but not black coral golems, for example) difficult.

Virindi was testing / promoting it in game last night, so its legit. She also mentioned that it doesn't have save capability (yet?).

Well it looks great so far. The ability to save lists is obviously a required feature, as well as an option restricting matches to exact matches by name.

Yeah it was awesome I tested it out on fallen last night found it at the exact same time as alinco.
Also tested it on plants, and just some random creatures.
Also I already set it up in Virindi Chat System V.5 so change the color to red when it finds something and move it to chat box 3 which is small and off to side for just finding items.

?? is that VI's version of 6th Sense? something we can program to scan for certain surface items/mobs? Meaning I can uninstall Alinco3 now since I'm not useing it for loot anymore either?
I heard she's thinking about making a buffbot plugin too, makes me wonder what's next:

Virindi Sense is legit just not a finished product yet. It doesn't save what you type in so for now would have to retype what your looking for each time you log in. Im sure she will get it finished when she can.

It should also be noted that the bundle auto-updater checks a digital signature for each update against a signing key that is held on a separate computer than my webserver. Thus, for a hacker to maliciously add plugins or updates to the autoupdate would require more than just hacking my webserver. It also prevents man in the middle type injection of fake updates.
No system is foolproof, but it is another layer of security.
