Again, thanks for the wonderful additions of GoArrow and SSSort to the Virindi Suite!


In using the new GoArrow, I have a few issues for folks to be aware of. When I reference the 'new' GoArrow .. in the interface, goto the Settings tab => About tab, I am refering to 'GoArrow v2.0.0.0'. (The following does not refer to the old GoArrow v1.2.0.1)


So far I see three issues ..


(1) All fields where you would type in, are presently 'read-only' . Two examples are ..

.. (a) Follow tabs Atlas => Details => Modify/Add Locations and attempt to add a new locations or modify a entry.

.. (b) Follow tabs Atlas => Update and copy/paste the URL path for Darktorizo's updated 'COD Databases'


(2) The Decription tab is not being populated with the description info.

.. (a) Follow tabs Atlas => Details => Decription .. nothing populated.

.. (b) Follow tabs Atlas => Details => Modify/Add Locations ..

Look in the Decription field (second line from the bottom) and see that the description info is populated there.


(3) Minor formating of message labels in the interface.

.. (1) Example: Atlas => Details => Delete ...


(P.S. I can always volunteer to developer to be a beta tester .. and show how annoying I can be.... )

I was able to copy/paste DarkTorizo's update url into the update field with no problem. It updated without a hitch.

For the post above, I did the testing with Decal 2.9.6.0.


I did the same with my other computer running Decal 2.9.6.5 .. and indeed, did not have any problems on item (1).


Issues (2) and (3) still stand, even on 2.9.6.5.

First off this is just a VVS version of GoArrow that Virindi adapted to VTank. It still need to have the monthly update to the database that Darktorizo does. Here is the links to his update & instructions:

Updating instructions


Go Arrow:

1) Open Go Arrow and go to Atlas > Update

2) Change the URL to wherever you saved the new data_cod.xml file. (In my case C:\data_cod.xml)

3) Make sure Database Type is set to Crossroads of Dereth.

4) Click Update, when Finished click Update a Second time.

Or:

1) Open Go Arrow and go to Atlas > Update

2) Change the URL to http://db.tt/6UlVIW (Only the Original Version of the Database)

3) Make sure Database Type is set to Crossroads of Dereth.

4) Click Update, when Finished click Update a Second time.


Dereth Explorer:

1) Back Up your existing data_cod.xml file located at C:\Program Files\Dereth Explorer\Data\data_cod.xml by default

2) Copy the new Data_cod.xml file to C:\Program Files\Dereth Explorer\Data\


I would like the Asheron's Call Community to verify these locations in your travels. If you happen to notice any errors, Wrong locations / Coordinates, mis-spellings, errors with the quest(s) attached to any location or NPC, ect. ect. Feel free to drop me a message either here (Via PM) or in-game (Guinevere du Avalon on TD, or Darktorizo on Virindi's Chat System) if I happen to be around.

The input boxes are not actually read-only, it's just that there is a bug in vvs that causes the blinking cursor to not appear for some people. I don't know why, but you should still be able to type into the boxes.

Try changing the theme and see if the cursor appears (press 'ab' button on vvs bar), which theme are you using?

I have that bug, but truthfully it has never bothered me. I'm using the default theme.

OK .. I see what you are saying now. This is just happening on the 'Decal' theme with issue (1).


With issue (2) and the Description missing .. any fix to that?

Feature Requests:


Is it possible to have "VI Fellow" members show up on the GoArror 2x map?


Also, is it possible to have "Trails" showing where I've been (and where VI Fellow members have been if we can have them show up)


As always, thank you for your hard work. Slowly but surely eliminating all my non-vvs plugins.

I'm having a sort of a strange bug. I've updated the database with DarkTorizo's latest xml file, which is the DB I was using with the Decal Views version of GoArrow.

With the old version, I search for "rock", and get results relating to the Dark Isle Crystal Quest (3 of them). With the new version, I only get one of those database entries, and the other two are nowhere to be found. Any idea what might be going on here?
