I have not had this problem personally, but people I email a loot profile to run into problems where they don't have a program to open it with, and cannot download it.

Is there a simple answer to this?

Not sure why they have a problem. You attach it to an email, they receive email, they use "Save As" on attachment, and save it to the vtank directory.

A few have said there is no program to open the file with. So saving it is not even an option.

The loot profile exists on disk as a .utl file. This is a textfile, if you absolutely must view it, but there is no need. Find this .utl file, attach it in an email, and email it to your friend. Your friend should receive an email with a .utl file attached. Have them save that .utl attachment to the vtank folder. Next time they start AC, they should see it in the loot profile drop downs.

Sounds like they don't know how to save a file, instead of trying to open it.

Ive sent the file to other people before, and it works fine. A few people have run into problems where they can't save it. I think it may have to do with one user being on a mac, and the other is using firefox. There is no save option. I'll post a SS.

Then upload it to a website, and give them the link.

It's because of the browser he was using. Switched it to I/E and it worked. THNX

The other fix would be to make it into a .zip file (yes even if you get no compression) as browsers know how to handle those whereas .utl some browser's can go 'huh wha????' is that thing....
