How about porting an AC lite version to the iPhone/iPod Touch?

Both devices far exceed the original computer I played AC on back in the day as far as graphical power is concerned and MMO action games are already available on the platform. The hardest thing to overcome would be the contols and chat, but like I said it would be a lite version.

Also, it would have to be almost completely re-written for the platform, but art assets, quests/story lines could be re-used and the game would be simplified to the extreme to work on the platform.

Hell, if 2 guys can make a good 3d RPG in their spare time in a few months, a very small team from Turbine could pull off AC lite for the platform.

Not to mention theres a lot money to be made with a user base of 50 million+ with games being the largest selling/grossing apps.

Ummmmm yeahhhhh, I don't see this happening. Interface alone would be a huge issue. AC is not a console game. Every try playing AC without constantly typing or using your keyboard?

Yeah, invest millions for 300 players. Makes sense.

Actually, the interface for pocket ledgends works very well on the device and would be easy to duplicate.

As for millions to develope for 300 players, you must be ignorant to the platform. Developing for the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad are relatively cheap and easy. It takes extremely small teams only a few months to make games (yes 3d action games, not just puzzle games) and while it would take a larger team and more time to make a lite version of AC the subscription base would easily dwarf the pathetic following of current AC. Pocket Ledgends, an instance based 3d rpg, much like Guild Wars, already dwarfs Ac's subscription base and it isn't a true MMORPG, is very light on content, is not a know IP and not developed by a big/well know developer. A true 3d MMO game stripped down for those devices would do quite well.
