It doesnt look like this quest can be done solo.
After approaching the Olthoi Tunnels in an attempt to get a Coruscating Olthoi Scent Gland off one of these level 161 olthoi, I get overwhelmed easy with a level 196 extreme bow. Cord/quick/bow/meleed all maxed, with bow/invuln/quick majors, prismatic arrows with a 375 req bow.
Any short cuts? In the matron hive dungeons, everyone has these weapons.

You can get the gland solo if you pull things and break up the spawns.
The quest as a whole is designed to be a group activity.

Must have a group I would say. The boss at the end needs mad DPS to down and is deadly. Need a corps of healers, and good DPS at the end.

Ok. Will stay away from that quest. Trying out solo quests right now. Married, so at any given time, I am forced to log off. When I was single, I did group quests all the time.
Renegade Fortress and the followup Bruin quest was very easy. Tried to do King Bobo solo, got all the way to the end and just couldnt land a vuln on those two final tusker boses. Do I need a lifegiver crystal to land a vuln?

At that level prob not, it could be done with the right gear on but it would still be a heck of a challenge.
I know at higher levels 230+ yes, it is easily solo'ed.
