Im trying to come back after4-5 years. When I try to log in my caracture into the world I get a mostly black screen and the link goes from green to yellow to red. After about a min. and I get a server disconnect message.

nice time for their support forums to be down huh...

anyhow the 3 most common problems I think related to this are:

1. routers (try it without going through a router and see if it works. then if it does you'll have to get help resolving the issue with the router in place)
2. If you use DSL and your internet provider uses NAPT.
3. Firewalls. try disabling it then running. if it works then you know where to begin.

I'm not sure but you also likley have to set your game to "run as admin"

also turbin said my type of connection might not be able to work. something about the way the packets go back and forth.

that would be #2 turbine is mentioning I think.

sometimes providers can switch your connection from napt to nat though if you ask them
