Ive been playing since 2000. Main was a mage for years. I left AC for a couple years and wanted a change of pace. So i rolled rolled my UA/Xbow spec char up. UA has always been good until now. I pk/pkl quite a bit cause ive done about everything there is to do in game. Now with max UA weapon with major BT AR..I hit for 9-11 damage on someone with about 660 al armor. Are you kidding me??????? I took DW to see if that would make up for it. Mages now always use tinked wands so I rarly hit at all with off hand.

Plain and simple, UA was killed with the patch, and yes these are light UAs. 53-75 damage and hit for 9-11 is plain STUPID. So for now my UA guy is out of action after spending years building him up. Trying out mage again just not the same. My time in AC seems to be coming to an end because Turbine thinks they know best. People have been playing for years and years because of the way the game was. Look how many have left because of what they just.


This all just IMO but Im in a big alleg and a whole LOT of them are feeling the same way.

If you are missing mages a lot you need to address your character setup. You might also want to pick up some black pages.


DW does make a big difference and does increase your damage output. Also you should try out dirty fighting which has bleeds, healing debuffs, defense debuffs etc.


You might want to look into some phantom or blighted weapons as well. Or just get better weapons in general.


But, most of all, if you're going to be pvping with melee. You should probably be using heavy weapons not light. There is around a 14% damage increase at top level between the skills.


There is a debate going on on the main forum about how some feel a Dual Wield heavy weapons is too powerful in PvP. So that means you should be able to setup a melee that does at least pretty good vs a mage.


Also some people may have left, but it seems just as many returned due to this patch. The servers have seemed very busy this past week and a lot of people have popped up saying they recently came back.

Learn to play, and quit your whining.

I have max weapons, I hit them. but the damage they do now just sucks. I think 53-75 and hit for 9-11 on low end compared to hitting for 19-25 on low end before with less damage.

UA before was very over powered. Phantom UAs did more damage then anything, even loot gens. It was stupid, hitting for 20-30 every swing for an easy quest weapon? Def op.
