Just looking for info regarding recovering an old (my original) account for AC. I played in beta(red shard which became Leafcull)until 2005 on the Leafcull shard.
I came back, played the trial and think I'm going to drop my other subs and come back to AC(again, lol).
No game out offers what AC does even with the populations as they are.
I'm hesitant about the Feb update, and not really feeling what they are trying to do but it's not enough to keep me from AC, at least for now. As long as it's not NGE/CU in scope, I think it'll be ok.
So anyways, any info anyone can give me for recovering my old account I'd greatly appreciate it.

There are tools for that on AC's webpage.
I tried to recover my first account that i sold in 2001 but they're not like Blizzard hehe.

Yeah, I'm not seeing those tools that's why I asked here.
I'll keep searching but if anyone can post a link or other help it is greatly appreciated.

Well there is no actual account recovery tool. Only contacting Turbine's support i did.

Was there any comunication between you and the person you sold it too before you recalled it?
I assume you did this on the assumption that the current owner of your account has long since stop playing and your char. is sitting in the darkness of oblivion.
I too sold my acount back in 04 and I have a pretty good feeling that its also long since been shelved. If the guy I sold it to did contact me then and wanted it back I wouldnt hesitate in my mind its his. I havent done anything and my never but the thought has crosses my mind to recall it, ive been reminiscing a lot about ac lately. Jumping onto my old char would make it all the more sweet.

Yes i know my characters were not played since like 2002. I have no way to find out how to contact that person. I don't even have the old ebay account i used hehe.

With the account being that old I doubt you'll have much luck. didn't work out for me.

My brother, my friend and I, have all recently returned to AC. I never lost control of my account, but my brother and my friend both had old accounts, that they could not remember to credentials for.
After spending a couple of weeks working on it with Turbine, they have both had their accounts restored.
Don't give up. Give Turbine a call, they might be able to help you.
