Yah.... When they start filming and have enough material to get a trailer out I might believe the movie will come to fruition.

The special effects tech should be a snap.
Getting dozens of good 8-15 year old actors will be the problem.

Exactly. They need to be convincingly brilliant and intuitive. I'm thinking even if they do make the movie it will ruin Christmas for everyone who's read and enjoyed the book.
