Bear in mind, they say the rugby player hit like this all day. But the rugby player says it's about the hardest hit he's ever gotten. And I've seen much more violent hits in football than what is shown.

Only couch potatoes like us ever bicker about this crap. Real players know both these and hockey are very rough games, each in their own right.
*And I would have to say actually Hockey is the hardest hitting game, just from a physics perspective. Much more velocity.

Different tackling rules. You can't tackle in rugby the way they tackle in football or the rugby player would die.
