	Well, I'm not sure how that would work. Her conviction was overturned, and is now being appealed. She wasn't cleared by a jury or exonerated through DNA evidence or anything. Couldn't they do that in the US? Appeal a ruling they didn't agree with? Or if a judge throws out a criminal case or overturns a conviction for any reason (in the US), does that mean that person can never be tried again or that the ruling cannot be appealed? 	There are very few ways here you could be retried again. Two that come to mind would be a stalemate or a mistrial. If you are cleared by a judge or jury it is over and done. That's why prosecutors are very slow to bring charges. Once they do, a timeline starts. It is you right to have is progress and be done by a certain time.
