Recent D&D campaign allows for the possession of people... and also the devouring of their memories to sustain ourselves. It's rather odd... but basically in order to interact with the real realm we must will ourselves into existence... usually by forcing a rock to take our form and then using it like a puppet... well, we later realized we could take the form of the thing we possessed... and even later learned that we could remove the memories of whomever we possess, which would give us more Spirit Points (If you run out of HP you go to the Spirit Realm; if you run out of SP then you phase out of existence).

Well... I decided to take a Kobold and meld into him. I sucked out all of his memories and kept his form. We had a really long journey ahead; so I spent the time thinking up an epic character... and when we arrived I implanted those "memories" into his head. Here's the blurb I wrote up about what he ended up doing:

Deekin Scalesinger is the Kobold who's Memory was replaced with the dreams of an Epic Bard who will start the Kobold Bard Brigade. He was introduced back into the Kobold Encampment outside of Shikar, a trade depot. He was left with a 2lb bag of Marbles, Half went to the Kobold Chieftan, which gave Deekin high rank within the Kobold tribe. He is starting his training one-on-one, and hopes to eventual form a college to train other Kobold in the ways of the song; then form his Bard Brigade from the top of the class, utilizing his trusty Bone Flute. His first songs will be of the Adventures of Hawkeye Silverwing, and the tragedy that befell his Kobold Brethren who tried to become like a Human, and killed his family. He bears the burnt remains of the Wedding Bone Necklace and a sad tale to teach to the Kobold People.

The Kobold who killed his family was trying to learn to read... he had finally figured it out, and happened across a few scrolls in a raid of a trading caravan... He took his family out on a grand day to celebrate his new skill... and in the end read from the scroll to show his family the fruits of his work. It was still hard for him to understand what the scroll said, and it took a lot of time to muddle through it... but he finally did... only to find that the scroll he found was from a wizard... as his family was incinerated by the fireball he just cast.

He went into a drunk bout of depression after that... our party found him, and learned of his tale before we killed him... so instead I took control of him; removed his memories... and replaced them with the Bard's Tale...

I'm hoping the GM will bring him back some day in some way
