I think it is a combination of the right talents combined with parents that nurture them. Whatever it is it is amazing to see kids that age do things that most masters spend their lives learning to do.

i was a piano prodigy. well music of any form really. i can still play any instrument i pick up and master it in about a year. but we had a piano and i was playing it as soon as i could stand up at it. the medical problems are what stopped me from being like that little girl.

It's just amazing that they can do these things at such a young age, AND that the talent was discovered at all. I'm sure there are a lot more prodigies out there that just never had the opportunity to discover their skills.
